Karen represents people injured in car crashes including cycling and pedestrian accidents. She writes and presents often to patients and their families as well as lawyers and health professionals on auto insurance topics. She has authored and co-authored papers for publications for the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Middlesex Law Association, the Ontario Bar Association, the Canadian Institute’s Auto Insurance Claims Litigation Group and the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association. She has appeared before the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. Karen has a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education from Acadia and Memorial Universities and prior to practicing law she taught high school and adult education. Karen graduated from Queen's University with her law degree and practiced in Toronto before settling in London in 2006. Karen is active in London having been a member for the Helmets on Kids Community Partnership for several years. She co-chairs the Middlesex Law Association's Straight From the Bench annual conference. Karen is also a member of the Brain Injury Association of London and Region's conference committee and is a Middlesex Law Association Trustee.
